1. GENERAL TERMS
1.1. These Terms determine the rights and obligations of the users of the library of the College of Law (hereinafter in the text - the Library) in the premises of the Library in Kronvalda Boulevard 1a, Riga; Dunikas Street 9/11, Liepāja, Kuldīgas Street 1, Ventspils; Līkā Street 21, Gulbene; L.Paegles SFtreet 40, Valmiera.

1.2. The Library provides the study and scientific processes of the College of Law with literature and information.

1.3. The Library provides library, bibliography and information services to the students, lecturers, researchers of the College of Law and other readers of the Library.

1.4. The Library fund is the property of the College of Law. The Fund is available for use to the students, lecturers and employees of the College of Law. Representatives of other institutions and organizations may use the Library Fund only in the reading room.

2. REGISTRATION AS READER IN THE LIBRARY
2.1. Student ID of the College of Law, passport or other personal identification document is required to register with the Library.

2.2. Upon registration with the Library the user shall fill in the reader form and familiarize with the terms of use of the Library.

2.3. Upon completion of the studies or taking an academic leave, the user shall return all literature received from the Library.

3. ATTENDANCE OF LIBRARY USERS
3.1. Literature may be taken home for the period, specified by the Library. Scientific and study literature is issued for 1 month, periodicals - for 1 week. The use term of the book may be extended, if no other user has applied for the book. Books, which are in high demand, are issued for a shorter period.

3.2. Reference publications, sole and last copies of the highly demanded publications, newspapers and samples of student works may not be taken home.

3.3. The user may order the missing publications from the Library by using the Inter-library subscription service. The user shall bear the costs.

3.4. The user may use computers, copy machine and printer for a charge in accordance with the prices, specified by the Library. The reader shall be responsible for compliance with copyright!

4. OBLIGATIONS OF THE USER
4.1. Comply with the terms of use of the Library.

4.2. Return the received publications until the specified deadline. In case of non-compliance with the deadline the student shall not be allowed to take examinations at the College of Law.

4.3. Treat the fund, inventory and equipment of the Library with care. No notes and cross-outs shall be made in the publications; the pages must not be folded or otherwise damaged. The identified damage shall be immediately reported to the librarian, otherwise the user shall be responsible for the damaged publication.

4.4. The lost or damaged publications may be replaced by equivalent ones or others, which the Library has declared to be equivalent, or to reimburse their value until tenfold amount in accordance with the act, composed by the College of Law.

4.5. The user may not take out books or other documents from the Library, receiving of which has not been arranged with the librarian.

4.6. Several copies of the same publication shall not be issued to the user.

4.7. Entering in the Library in outdoor clothing is prohibited - it shall be left in the cloakroom.

4.8. Order and quiet shall be observed in the Library; use of mobile phones is forbidden, otherwise the Library services shall be banned.

4.9. It is forbidden to consume food in the Library premises.

5. RIGHTS OF THE USER
5.1. To use the services of the Library subscription and reading room, information search systems and databases.

5.2. To use the Library Fund in accordance with the terms of Article 3.

5.3. To receive information on the content of the Fund, as well as bibliographic and informational services.

5.4. To use computers, equipment and information resources of the Library.

5.5. To use paid services of the Library: computer printouts, copying, Internet services, access to databases.
