The conference has a very current topic - “Law enforcement authorities in Latvia and Europe - basis and guarantee of a law governed state”. 16 lecturers and students of the Law program and our Erasmus+ student Ibrahim Demir from Turkey presented reports in this conference.

The conference was held within the framework of the international science week and the Lawyers’ Day from 18.04.2016 - 23.04.2016.

“Experience of the Baltic States in the European Union: ten years of integration experience in the field of politics and law", in Riga, April 25-26, 2014.
The conference was held by the Baltic strategic research centre of the Latvian Academy of Sciences and the College of Law in cooperation with Riga Stradiņš University, Daugavpils University, Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania, Vilnius), Latvian Association of Lawyers.
Participants: lawyers, political scientists, sociologists, historians from universities and colleges, as well as scientific research institutions of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Poland and Turkey.

College of Law graduate Jānis Kukainis participated in the conference with a paper, in which he continued his qualification thesis topic.

“Lisbon Treaty and new legal grounds of the European Union”
On 25.04.2008 the Latvian Association of Lawyers, Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia and the College of Law in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvian and the Chancery of the State President held the conference “Lisbon Treaty and new legal grounds of the European Union” in the Large Hall of the University of Latvia.
